<br />of the center line of Berrydale Street, and on the west by the center line of Berry~
<br />dale Street; a communication was presented from the City of Garden Grove request-
<br />ing cooperation in a Joint study of the area described in Amendment Application No.
<br />332, and on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbar~l and carried, the com-
<br />munication was received, filed, and a committee appointed, consisting of the City
<br />
<br />Manager and the Planuing Director, to meet with the City of Garden Grove and report
<br /> representing the applicant,~
<br />their findings. Attorney William B. Harman, 401 W. Eighth Street~ appeared in
<br />
<br />favor of the zone change, and had no objection to continuing the matter until the
<br />next meeting. Webb Brown, L?O1 No. Flower Street, advised he had m~de application
<br />to the Planning Department of the City of Garden Grove to change the zone to C-1
<br />on his property at the southwest corner of Berrydale and Trask Avenues, in November
<br />1960, and agreed that Santa Ana and Garden Grove should, confer on the planning of
<br />this area. It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, that
<br />the matter be continued until January 16, 1961.

<br />This being the date set for hearing to vacate a portion of an alley south of Occi-
<br />dental Street, between Standard Avenue and Evergreen Street; no protests were re-
<br />celved and the hearing was closed. The Council having unanimously waived the read-!'
<br />ing of the Resolution, on motion of Councilmau Hubbard, seconded by Gould and
<br />carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 61-1 ordering vacation and abandonment of a
<br /> portion of alley south of Occidental between Standard and
<br /> Evergreen"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />
<br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr.,
<br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall
<br />Noes, Councilmen None
<br />Absent, Councilmen None

<br />This being the date set for hearing to vacate portions of McFadden Avenue, west of
<br />Fairview Street; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. The Council
<br />having ~nimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman
<br />Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> portions of McFadden Avenue"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />approximately 19 acres and situated at the northeast corner of Mabury and Seventeen~
<br />Streets; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motion of Council-
<br />man Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br /> "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory
<br /> designated 'Seventeenth and Mabury N. E. Annex'"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.

<br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of
<br />approximately 7.950 acres and located Just northeast of the northeast corner of
<br />Wright and Seventeenth Streets; no protests were received and the hearing was close~.
<br />On motion of Counc~lmau Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following
<br />Ordinance entitled:
