M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular sessimm. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br /> Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen Dale H. Heinly <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Major Carl Andreason, The Salvation Arm~. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />January 3, January 9, January lO and January LI, 1961, rea~ing of the <br />Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Counci]m-n Hubbard, <br />seconded by Brewer and carried. <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Widen Fairview St. <br />north of First St. <br />Project C-64 <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented for the widening <br /> <br />First Street, approximately 670 feet, Project C-64, as follows: <br /> Total <br />Sully-Miller Contracting Ccaxpany $ 12,~5.00 <br />Griffith Company 14, 00~.00 <br />R. J. Noble Comparw 12,094.00 <br /> <br />of Fairview Street, north of <br /> <br />Bid Bond <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the lowest and <br /> <br />best bid of R. J. Noble Company was accepted at the unit prices and in the total <br /> <br />amount of $12,09~.00, all other bids rejected, and a portion of the cost will be <br /> <br />paid by A1 and Blanche M. Bruning, in the amount of $1,934.42, as their share of <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Cc~binat ion <br />Pumping. Triple Combination Pumpir~ <br />Engine, Specificaticm No. 626-6, as follows: <br /> Total Bid Bond <br />The Seagrave Corporation $ 31,238.55 10~ <br />Crown Coach Corporation 30,984.33 10% <br /> <br />On motion of Council-~n Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the low bid of <br /> <br />Crown Coach Corporation was accepted in the total amount of $30,984.33, and all <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Vacate portion <br />North Garnsey St. <br />Reso.No.'61-12 <br />ordering vacation <br /> <br />other bids rejected. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing to vacate a portion of North Garnsey Street <br />south of Seventeenth Street; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-12 ordering vacation of a portion of <br /> North Garnsey Street south of Seventeenth Street" <br /> <br />and the ownens of property abutting the portion of North Garnsey Street in <br /> <br />agreed with the City of Santa Aha that they would pay to said City the amount of <br /> <br />$516.00, which is the determ!ned value of the municipal water line leading from the <br /> <br />water main in Seventeenth Street to and into said portion of North Garnsey Street, <br /> <br />and further agreed that said owners would construct sidewalk, curb and gutter <br /> <br />across Garnsey Street at its intersection on the south side of Seventeenth Street <br /> <br />to line up with present in place construction and would provide for necessary <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Amend.Appl.No.333 <br />~Conrad Schultz <br />10rdinance <br /> <br />age, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
