Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocatio~ was given by Reverend Daniel G. Rider, First Baptist Church. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />January 16, 1961, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved <br />on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried. <br /> <br />Bids The Mayor announced this is the time and place <br />Improve Golden West <br />Avenue, et al <br />Assess .Dist .No. 204 <br /> <br /> fixed for the opening of bids <br />for the improvement in Golden West Avenue and other streets (Assessment District <br />No. 204) in the City of Santa Ana~ California, as described in Resolution of <br /> <br />Intention No. 60-249. The Clerk announced she had received four bids, whereupon <br /> <br />all bids were publicly opened, eEamined and declared from the following bidders, <br /> <br />to-wit: <br /> <br />Sully-Miller Contracting <br />R. J. Noble Co~pany <br />Griffith Company <br />Boeck Paving Company <br /> <br />Amount Bid Bond <br />$ 22,6~L20 lOS' <br />21,179.1R 10~ <br />23,106.76 10~ <br />26,171.48 <br /> <br />On motion of Councilm-n Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the bids were <br /> <br />referred to the Director of Public Works for checking and report back to the <br /> <br />Council as to the lowest regular responsible bid. The Director of Public Works <br /> <br />reported to the Council that he desired more time to ex-m!ne the various bids <br /> <br />submitted, and suggested to the Council that further consideration of the award- <br /> <br />ing of the ~ntract for the improvement in Golden West Avenue and other streets <br /> <br />in Assessment District No. 204 be continued to the next meeting of the Council. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, further consid- <br /> <br />eration of the bids for said improvement was continued to the next regular meet- <br /> <br />ing of the Council~ and the Director of Public Works and Attorney to make their <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Remodel portion <br />City Hall <br /> <br />report and recommendation at that time. <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented for the remodeling <br /> <br />of portions of City Hall, <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Lunsford Burleson Builders <br />Allison Honer Company <br />George W.
