RESOLUTION NO. 82-114 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION TO APPLY <br />FOR $2,150,000 IN STATE TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT FUNDS <br />FOR FACILITY CONSTRUCTION AT THE INTERCITY COMMUTER STATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has <br />identified improvements to the Amtrak passenger facility as a top trans- <br />portation priority with the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been allocated by the legislature of the <br />State of California for improvement of transportation passenger facilities; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said funds will be allocated according to Chapter 4.6, <br />Division 3 of the California Streets and Highways Code, Section 2170 et s_eeq. <br />("said law"); and -- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to <br />approve the submission of an application for additional funds for the <br />construction of a new Santa Ana Intercity Commuter Station in accordance <br />with said law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Director of Transportation is authorized and directed <br />to make application to the California Department of Transportation for <br />$2,150,000 in funds for construction of a new Intercity Commuter Station <br />in accordance with Section 2170 e._~_t seq. of the California Streets and <br />Highways Code. <br /> <br /> 2. The Director of Transportation is directed to contact <br />the appropriate legislative representatives concerned with this project <br />and solicit their support of the project. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 16th day of August <br /> <br />, 1982. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
