RESOLUTION NO. 82- 116 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 20 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Minute Order dated July 19, 1982, a public hearing <br />was called for August 16, 1982 at the hour of 7:30 p.m., at the Council <br />Chambers of the City Hall, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California, to <br />ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety, or welfare requires <br />the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures, <br />and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying <br />electrical communication or similar or associated service, for the formation <br />of the Underground Utility District No. 20 within that certain area of the <br />City described as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The triangular area bounded northeasterly by the Santa Aha <br />Freeway, southerly by the extension of the south right-of-way line of Buffalo <br />Avenue and westerly by a line 70 feet west of the centerline of Main Street. <br /> <br /> 2. The area bounded westerly by Broadway, easterly by Main Street, <br />northerly and southerly by lines 70 feet from the centerline of Santa Clara <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> 3. The area bounded southerly by the south right-of-way line of Santa <br />Clara Avenue, northerly by Owens Drive, westerly and easterly by lines 70 feet <br />from the centerline of Broadway. <br /> <br />northerly <br />by a line <br /> <br />4. The area bounded westerly by Arnett Drive, easterly by Main Street, <br />by a line 70 feet north of the centerline of Owens Drive and southerly <br />230 feet south of the same centerline; <br /> <br />owners as <br />concerned <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice of such hearing has been given to all affected property <br />such are shown on the last equalized assessment roll and to all utilities <br />in the manner and within the time required by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all persons <br />interested have been given an opportunity to be heard; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha: <br /> <br /> 1. That pursuant to Santa Ana Municipal Code Sections 37-1 to 37-13, <br />the above-described area is hereby declared an Underground Utility District, <br />and is designated as Underground Utility District No. 20 of the City of Santa <br />Ana. Attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and hereby incorporated as a part <br />of this Resolution, is a map delineating the boundaries of said District. <br /> <br /> 2. That the City Council does hereby fix August l, 1983 as the date <br />on which affected property owners must be ready to receive underground service, <br />and does hereby order the removal of all poles, overhead wires and associated <br />overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities <br />for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service within <br />Underground Utility District No. 20 on or before October l, 1983. <br /> <br /> <br />
