REL:adg <br />6/23/83 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83- 71 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 82-22 AND VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION NO. 83-2 TO ALLOW AN OFF - <br />PREMISE ADVERTISING SIGN ON PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 100 S. HARBOR BOULEVARD <br />WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on <br />June 20, 1983 on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 82- <br />22, to allow an off -premise advertising sign in the C2 <br />District and on Variance Application No. 83-2, to allow such <br />sign to be installed at variance with zoning regulations <br />restricting the height of such signs, on property located at <br />100 S. Harbor Boulevard as shown on the map attached hereto <br />as Exhibit A, incorporated herein, which applications were <br />brought before this Council by Appeals No. 480 and 482, <br />following their denial by the Planning Commission; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Based on the evidence submitted at the abovesaid <br />hearing, this Council finds and determines as follows: <br />(a) The proposed sign is inconsistent with <br />developments and improvements in the vicinity and will <br />create a view deleterious to the area. <br />(b) There are no special circumstances pertaining <br />to the subject property which cause any unreasonable <br />hardship on the property owner in being required to comply <br />with the zoning regulations regarding the size of off - <br />premise advertising signs. <br />2. Conditional Use Permit Application No. 82-22 and <br />Variance Application No. 83-2 are hereby denied. <br />ADOPTED this 5th <br />ATTEST: <br />nice C.
