RESOLUTION NO. 83-106 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN TO ADD <br />NEW CLASS TITLES IN ORDER TO CLASSIFY AND COMPENSATE CERTAIN <br />NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1983-84 ANNUAL BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa <br />Anja requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classifi- <br />cation and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval <br />of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1983-84 Annual Budget, City Council <br />authorized funds for certain new positions and the restructuring of certain other <br />existing positions; and <br />WHEREAS, it is now desired to delete certain unused or obsolete titles, <br />add new class titles for the purpose of classifying and fixing the salary levels <br />of new positions, change titles of certain existing classes, and make certain other <br />changes in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan to implement <br />classification and pay provisions authorized in the 1983-84 Annual Budget. <br />Ana: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110 is hereby amended by: <br />a. Deleting the following class titles: <br />Disaster Services Coordinator <br />Firefighter I <br />Leased Housing Supervisor <br />Planner Scheduler <br />Property Rehabilitation Counselor <br />b. Designating the following class titles as "Terminal" by <br />adding the parenthetical designator (T) next to following the class title, so that <br />upon being vacated by its last remaining incumbent, the class will be automatically <br />deleted from the classification and compensation plan: <br />Assistant Planner I (T) <br />Assistant Planner II (T) <br />Director of Personnel (EM) (T) <br />Workers' Compensation & Insurance Analyst (T) <br />
