REL:jd <br />9/7/83 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-113 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE FIRE CHIEF OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA TO ENTER INTO AN AUTOMATIC <br />AND FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA WITH THE UNITED STATES MARINE <br />CORPS AIR STATION, SANTA ANA AND EL TORO <br />WHEREAS, it is of mutual benefit to the City of <br />Santa Ana, and the United States Marine Corps Air Station, <br />anta Ana and E1 Toro, that the fire protection services <br />f each such agency be extended outside of its territorial <br />urisdiction and into that of the other pursuant to an agree- <br />ent for automatic aid in specified circumstances; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the Fire Chief of the City of Santa Ana <br />is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of <br />Santa Ana, an agreement with the United States Marine Corps <br />Air Station, 'Santa Ana.a,nd El Toro, providing for the auto- <br />Oatic aid of the City of Santa Ana's fire protection services <br />in the territorial jurisdiction serviced by the United States <br />Marine Corps Air Station, Santa Ana and E1 Toro. <br />2. Such agreement shall be on such terms and <br />6onnditions as the Fire Chief shall deem appropriate, and <br />shall provide for such reciprocal automatic aid by the <br />United States Marine Corps Air Station, Santa Ana and E1 <br />oro, in the City of Santa Ana as the Fire Chief shall de - <br />ermine to be in the best interests of the City of Santa <br />na, and shall be subject to approval as to form by the <br />ity Attorney. <br />3. The Fire Chief is further authorized to act <br />on behalf of the City of Santa Ana in the amendment or ter- <br />mination of any currently effective agreement between the <br />
