RESOLUTION NO. 2003-018 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE RELOCATION PLAN FOR <br />THE WAKEHAM-GRANT APARTMENTS TO MEET FEDERAL <br />AND STATE MANDATED REGULATIONS FOR PAYMENT OF <br />RELOCATION BENEFITS <br /> <br />210/03LS <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana ("Council") hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A= <br /> <br />The Community Redevelopment Agency ("Agency") is providing financing to <br />Wakeham-Grant, LLC, a joint venture between Avalon Communities, LLC and <br />Jamboree Housing Corporation for the acquisition and rehabilitation of 127 <br />multi-family housing units in the Cornerstone Village Project Area. <br /> <br />In addition to the Agency housing set-aside funds, the project has been <br />allocated funds by the Council through the Federal HOME Program, tax- <br />exempt bonds issued by the Housing Authority and tax credits. '1'he project <br />must comply with all applicable federal and state requirements imposed by <br />the various funding sources. <br /> <br />Wakeham-Grant is proposing to rehabilitate its residential buildings located at <br />805, 810, 815, 816, 825, 828, 835 and 904 South Minnie Street. <br /> <br />Pursuant to California Government Code section 7260, et seq., a public entity <br />is required to adopt a relocation plan, by resolution, whenever it enters into an <br />agreement for acquisition of real property or an agreement for the disposition <br />and development of property which would lead to displacement of people <br />from their homes. <br /> <br />E= <br /> <br />The Wakeham-Grant relocation plan has been prepared in conformance with <br />applicable provisions of the California Government Code section 7260, et <br />seq., Relocation Guidelines (California Code of Regulations, Title 25), as well <br />United States Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations. <br /> <br />The relocation plan is required due to the displacement of three households. <br />Two of the households are over-income based on tax credit guidelines. The <br />other household exceeds the maximum household size based on the State <br />Building Code, and will be accommodated within the project by dividing and <br />moving into two, one-bedroom units. <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Council hereby approves the Wakeham-Grant relocation plan for <br />the residential properties located at the aforementioned addresses, and the establishment <br /> <br />Resolution NO. 2003-018 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
