RESOLUTION NO. 83 - 140 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE CALIFORNIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-85 <br />ARTICLE XIX GUIDEWAY AND TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND <br />DEVELOPMENT (TP & D) ACCOUNT TRANSIT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT (TCI) <br />FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to construct a grade separation at Fourth <br />Street and the Atchison -Topeka and Santa Fe, and Southern Pacific railroad <br />main lines east of Breeden Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the grade separation will greatly improve transit associated <br />with the Santa Ana - Orange County Transportation Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation is authorized <br />to make grants for transportation projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the contract for financial assistance will impose certain <br />obligations upon the applicant, including the provisions by it of the local <br />share of project costs; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the Director of Transportation Services is authorized to <br />file an application to the California Department of Transportation <br />for fiscal year 1984-85 article XIX Guideway and Transportation <br />Planning and Development (TP & D) Account Transit Capital Improve- <br />ment (TCI) funds. <br />2.
