REL:adg <br />12/8/83 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83- 155 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING MINOR EXCEPTION <br />APPLICAITON NO. 83-16, SEEKING TO ALLOW <br />THE SALE OF BEER AND WINE FOR ON-SITE <br />CONSUMPTION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2327 WEST EDINGER AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on <br />December 5, 1983, on Minor Exception Application No. 83-16, to <br />allow the sale of beer and wine for on-site consumption in a <br />cafe -billiard parlor located at 2327 West Edinger Avenue in the <br />Cl District; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid hear- <br />ing this council finds and determines as follows: <br />(a) The proposed use is not necessary or desirable to <br />provide a service which will contribute to the general well-being <br />of the neighborhood for the community. <br />(b) The proposed use maybe injurious to persons and prop- <br />erty in the vicinity in that the existing cafe -billiard parlor <br />already lacks adequate parking and is not a compatible use with <br />surrounding uses, and the addition of beer and wine service would <br />only compound such problems. <br />(c) The proposed use is not consistent with the general <br />plan designation of the area, which is low-density residential. <br />2. Minor Exception Application No. 83-16 is hereby denied. <br />ADOPTED this 19th day of December. <br />AT ST: <br />anice C.
