RESOLUTION NO. 83-163 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO PROVIDE FOR A MORE <br />EQUITABLE INTERNAL SALARY RELATIONSHIP AMONG EXECUTIVE <br />MANAGEMENT CLASSES AND TO ADJUST THE SALARY OF TWO MIDDLE - <br />MANAGEMENT CLASSES. <br />WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 82,110, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan <br />for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana, including provisions <br />for a special performance-based compensation plan for unrepresented management <br />personnel; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and <br />the approval of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said class- <br />ification and pay plan; and <br />WHEREAS, it is desired to adjust the recently adopted two-year com- <br />pensation plan for unrepresented management personnel to provide for a more <br />equitable internal salary relationship among Executive Management classes by <br />adjusting the salary level of certain Executive Management classes, to provide <br />equity adjustments for two middle -management classes; and to designate an <br />existing represented class as Unrepresented Middle -Management (MM). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana that Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110 is hereby amended by: <br />1.
