RESOLUTION NO. 84-81 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING MINOR EXCEPTION <br />APPLICATION NO. 84-20, SEEKING TO ALLOW <br />THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FOR ON- <br />SITE CONSUMPTION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2026 WEST FIFTH STREET <br /> <br />REL:adg <br />7/9/84 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on <br />July 2, 1984, on Minor Exception Application No. 84-20, to <br />allow the sale of general alcoholic beverages in addition <br />to beer and wine for on-site consumption in a bar/nightclub <br />located at 2026 West Fifth Street in the M1 District; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SAIgTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid <br />hearing this council finds and determines as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) The proposed use is not necessary or desirable to <br />provide a service which will contribute to the general well-being <br />of the neighborhood for the community. <br /> <br /> (b) The proposed use may be injurious to persons and <br />property in the vicinity in that the existing bar/nightclub <br />already lacks adequate parking and is characterized by excessive <br />noise levels, vandalism, security problems, loitering and park- <br />ing overflow, and the additon of general alcoholic beverage <br />service would only compound such problems. <br /> <br /> 2.
