serv~ <br /> <br />inte <br />and <br /> <br />Stat <br /> <br />cert <br />loca2 <br /> <br />Tran <br />for <br />amen~ <br />1964 <br />requ~ <br /> <br />Busi <br />corm <br />shal <br />busi] <br />cons~ <br /> <br />the <br />deve <br />fund: <br /> <br />ANA <br /> <br />Tran <br />Gove <br />info~ <br />and <br /> <br />Resolution no. 84-154 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE SANTA ANA CITY COUNCIL <br /> AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION <br />WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, UNITED STATES <br />OF AMERICA, FOR SECTION 9 FUNDING UNDER THE URBAN <br />MASS TRANSPORTATION ACT OF 1964, AS AMENDED <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center will <br />an estimated 425,000 transit and rail passengers a year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, adequate security and information systems are an <br />~al part of the efficient and effective operation of the Center; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Secretary of Transportation of the United <br />s is authorized under the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, <br />~ended, to make grants for mass transportation projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, if approved, the financial grant will impose <br />in obligations upon the City, including the provision of its <br /> share of the project costs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is required by the U.S. Department of <br />~ortation that in connection with the filing of an application <br />ssistance under the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as <br />~ed, the City will comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of <br />, as amended, and the U.S. Department of Transportation <br />rements thereunder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the goal of the City that Disadvantaged <br />less Enterprises be utilized to the fullest extent possible in <br />ction with these project funds, and that definite procedures <br />. be established and administered to ensure that disadvantaged <br />esses shall have the maximum feasible opportunity to compete for <br />ruction, supplies equipment or consultant contracts; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission and <br />Southern California Association of Governments cooperatively <br />top a Program of Projects eligible to receive the above Federal <br />.ng; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SANTA <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1.
