I~EL: adg <br />12/26/84 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-172 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 <br />TO ADD THREE NEW POSITION CLASSIFICATIONS <br />AND TO CHANGE TWO EXISTING CLASS TITLES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed <br />and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing <br />the basic Classification and Compensation Plan for officers <br />and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter <br />of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, <br />install and maintain a position classification and pay plan <br />subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval <br />of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended <br />said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add three new classes, <br />designating two such classes as unrepresented middle-management; <br />change two existing class titles, and designate another existing <br />class as terminal. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110 is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Designating the class of Director of Emergency <br />Preparedness and Public Safety Services (EM) as "terminal" by <br />adding the parenthetical designator (T) next to following the <br />class title so that, upon being vacated by its last remaining <br />incumbent, the class will be automatically deleted from the <br />City's Classification and Compensation plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
