RESOLUTION NO. 86-10 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMd~NDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD NEW JOB CLASSES TO <br />CLASSIFY, RECLASSIFY, AND COMPENSATE POSITIONS AUTHORIZED <br />IN THE 1985-86 ANNUAL BUDGET AND TO EFFECT OTHER CHANGES <br />TO THE CI~Sf'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification <br />and Compensation Plan for Officers and F~nployees of the City of Santa Ana; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004 Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ama requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a <br />position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and <br />regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1985-86 Annual Budget, City Council <br />approved the addition of various positions throughout the City organization <br />including some of the positions in the Public Services and Utilities <br />Agencies, which due to significantly different duty, responsibility and <br />qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing classes found in <br />the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add two new class titles together with <br />assigned salary rate ranges to the City's Basic Classification and <br />Compensation plan and to change one class title without any change in salary. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CIl~f OF SANTA <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following new <br />class titles and assigning them to a two-year salary adjustment schedule as <br />next hereinafter set out: <br /> <br />Class Title <br /> <br /> Salary Rate Ranges <br />Effective 2- -86 Effective 7-1-86 <br /> <br />Utility Inspector <br />Transportation Project <br /> Coordinator <br /> <br />467 ($2037-2475) <br />537 ($2867-3484) <br /> <br />477 ($2139-2600) <br />547 ($3010-3658) <br /> <br /> b.
