RESOLUTION NO. 86- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD NEW JOB CLASSES TO <br />CLASSIFY, RECLASSIFY AND COMPENSATE POSITIONS AUTHORIZED <br />IN THE 1985-86 ANNUAL BUDGET AND TO EFFECT OTHER CHANGES <br />TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />NO. 82-]]0 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation <br />Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section ]004 Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa <br />Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and <br />the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1985-86 Annual Budget, City Council <br />approved the addition of various positions throughout the City organization <br />including these two positions in the Fire Department, two in Public Services <br />Agency and one in Utilities Agency, which due to significantly different duties, <br />responsibilities and qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing <br />classes found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add four new class titles together with <br />assigned salary rate ranges to the City's Basic Classification and Compensation <br />plan and to reclassify, without a change in salary level, a vacant position in <br />Intergovernmental Relations Department to one of those new classes. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br /> a.
