REL :k-4 <br />05/09/86 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. <br />86-4 TO ALLOW SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN A <br />RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT OF LESS THAN 3000 SQUARE <br />FEET ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 707 NORTH BRISTOL <br />STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on March 24, <br />1986 on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 86-4 to allow <br />sale of alcoholic beverges in a retail establishment of less <br />than 3000 square feet on property located at 707 North Bristol <br />Street in the C4 and CD districts, said application having <br />come before this Council following its denial by the Planning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking action on the said application, <br />this Council reviewed and approved the negative declara-tion <br />prepared for ~he project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid <br />hearing, this Council finds and determines as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) The proposed liquor store will provide <br />convenient shopping for residents of the immediate <br />area eliminating the need for more extensive auto- <br />mobile trips to larger shopping facilities in the <br />community. The proposed project will develop this <br />site to a more efficient use and will contribute <br />to the aesthetic quality of the surrohnding neighbor- <br />hood. <br /> <br /> (b) The proposed use will contribute to a mix <br />of convenient retail uses that are commonly found in <br />small, mixed-use projects. The approval of a conditional <br />use permit for the sale of alcoholic beverages at this <br />location does not constitute an overconcentration of <br />liquor sales in the area. <br /> <br /> (c) The requested use of the subject property will <br />add to the economic stability of this newly developing <br />retail/office project and will not affect the present <br />economic stability of property in the surrounding area. <br /> <br /> <br />
