RESOLUTION NO. 86- 99 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD~ DELETE AND CHANGE SEVERAL CLASS TITLES IN THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, Section 1004 Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1986-87 Annual Budget, City Council approved the addition of two (2) new positions in Recreation and Community Services Agency which, due to significantly different duties and responsibilities, cannot be allocated to an existing class in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and WHEREAS, due to changing needs in the Economic Development Division, a budgeted, vacant position needs to be reclassified to a slightly higher-paid proposed new classification and several existing class titles need to be simplified; and WHEREAS, it is now desired to add two new class titles together with appropriate salary rate ranges, delete one obsolete class title, and change three other class titles. NOWt THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: amended by: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, is hereby further a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at the salary rate ranges as next thereto set out: CLASS TITLE SALARY RATE RANGE No. Mino - Max. Assistant Parks/Landscape Planner Economic Development Specialist III 487 $2246 -$2730 567 $3318 -$4034 b. Deleting the class title of Senior Economist.
