RESOLUTION NO. 85-36 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />~ING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD SEVERAL NEW JOB CLASSES <br />TO CLASSIFY ~ ~SATE NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE <br />1984-85 AI~NUAL BUDGET ~ TO EFFECT OTHER CHANGES TO THE <br />CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION ~ ODMPt~!SATION PLAN <br /> <br /> WHERKa_S, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and t~aployees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and rnaintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and <br />the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1984-85 Annual Budget, City Council <br />approved the addition of new positions throughout the City organization, <br />including a number of such positions which, due to significantly different <br />duty, responsibility and qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to <br />existing classes found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan <br />(Resolution No: 82-110, as amended); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add several new class titles, together <br />with appropriate salary rate ranges, to the City's Basic Classification and <br />Ccrrpensation Plan; designate one such new class as unrepresented <br />Middle-Management (NM); change several class titles; and adjust the salary rate <br />ranges for three existing classes. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br /> a.
