3/6/85 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85- 44 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 84-6 TO~ <br />EXPAND A BOARD AND CARE FACILITY <br />AT 1101-1219 NORTH JACKSON STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Variance No. 72-83 was approved on January 2, <br />1973 to allow ,a board and care facility for up to 84 develop, <br />mentally disabled adults at 1101-1219 North Jackson Street in <br />the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Variance Application No. 84-6 has been filed <br />seeking to increase the number of residents which may be housed <br />in said facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on March 4, <br />1985 on said Variance Application No. 84-6; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Based on the evidence submitted at the abovesaid hear- <br />ing, this Council finds and determines that the findings which <br />justified Variance No. 72-83 continue to justify a variance for <br />the subject facility with the maximum occupancy increased to <br />120 persons for the following reasons: <br /> <br /> (a) The special circumstances justifying the issuance <br />of Variance No. 72-83 have not changed. <br /> <br /> (b) The need to preserve substantial property rights <br />which justified Variance No. 72-83 has not changed. <br /> <br /> (c) The increase in occupancy of the subject facility <br />as hereinafter limited will not be materially detrimental to the <br />public welfare or injurious to surrounding property. <br /> <br /> (d) <br />as hereinafter <br />of the city. <br /> <br />The increase in occupancy of the subject facility <br />limited will not adversely affect the general plan <br /> <br /> <br />
