RESOLUTION NO. 85-67 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO COMMIT ITS <br />LOCAL MATCHING FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF THE <br />FEDERAL AID URBAN WIDENING OF BRISTOL <br />STREET BETWEEN FIRST STREET AND WARNER <br />AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to <br />improve Bristol Street between First Street and Warner <br />Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bristol Street is a major north-south <br />arterial corridor through the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bristol Street is a heavily traveled <br />and congested corridor and is in need of widening and <br />overall street improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS; the City of Santa Ana has been <br />allocated Federal Highway Administration Federal Aid Urban <br />Funds for Environmental Assessment of Bristol Street between <br />First Street and Warner Avenue. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that, by this <br />Resolution, the City of Santa Ana agrees with the basic <br />precepts and policies of the Federal Highway Administration <br />Federal Aid Urban Financing Program and will fully honor its <br />matching fund requirements and is committed to providing the <br />local match to assure the completion of the project as the <br />need for such monies arises. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby requests that the Orange County <br />Transportation Commission assure the allocation to the City <br />from FAU funds in the amount limited to a maximum of $3 <br />million dollars for the project. This amount is to be <br />matched by funds from the City, to be used by the City to <br />complete the improvement of Bristol Street between First <br />Street and Warner Avenue upon certification of the <br />Environmental Impact Statement. <br /> <br /> <br />
