RESOLUTION NO. 85-146 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD <br />NEW JOB CLASSES TO CLASSIFY, RECLASSIFY, AND <br />COMPENSATE POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1985-86 <br />ANNUAL BUDGET AND TO EFFECT OTHER CHANGES TO THE <br />CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 1, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 8 2'110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a <br />position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and <br />regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to reclassify and upgrade two existing but <br />inappropriately classified positions in the Cultural, Recreation and Community <br />Services Department it is now desired to create two new classifications at the <br />appropriate salary levels. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to establish an appropriate and clearly <br />identifiable career ladder in the budget and management analysis series, it is <br />now desired to establish a new class for the purpose of reclassifying an <br />inappropriately classified position at no change in currently assigned salary <br />level and to change the title of another class within the same occupation <br />ladder to appropriately reflect its level within the series. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br />a. Adding in proper alphabetical sequence the following new <br />class rifles and assigning them to a two year salary adjustment schedule as <br />next hereinafter set out: <br /> <br />Class Title <br /> <br /> SALARY RATE RANGES <br />Effective 12-1-85 Effective 7-1-86 <br /> <br />Sr. Park Maintenance Supervisor 507 ($2475-3010) <br />Recreation & Parks Office Supervisor 437 ($1760-2139) <br />Management Analyst I 472 ($2086-2536) <br /> <br />517 ($2600-3160) <br />447 ($1848-2246) <br />482 ($2190-2663) <br /> <br /> b. Changing the existing class title of Management Analyst <br />(MM) to Management Analyst II (MM) at no change in currently assigned <br />salary level. <br /> <br /> <br />
