RESOLUTION NO. 85-155 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD <br />NEW JOB CLASSES TO CLASSIFY AND COMPENSATE NEW <br />POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1985-86 ANNUAL BUDGET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the <br />City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and <br />maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service <br />rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said <br />Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1985-86 Annual Budget, <br />City Council approved the addition of new positions throughout the <br />City organization, including a number of such positions in the Police <br />Department which, due to significantly different duty, responsibility <br />and qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing classes <br />found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to reclassify and upgrade two existing <br />but inappropriately classified positions in the Police Department it is <br />now desired,~to create two new class titles at the appropriate salary <br />levels. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is <br />hereby further amended by: <br /> <br />following new <br />out: <br /> <br />a.
