029 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ALLOCATE ORANGE <br />COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (0CUTT) <br />FUNDS FOR EDINGER AVENUE BETWEEN EUCLID STREET <br />AND NEWHOPE STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statutes of 1985 allows the Orange County <br />Transportation Commission to allocate funds from the rapid transit <br />reserve to local agencies for the improvement, construction, or repair <br />of local streets and roads; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission approved a $12 <br />million OCUTT Streets and Roads Program on April 14, 1986 covering fis- <br />cal years 1986-87 through 1988-89; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the three-year program includes $214,000 in <br />1986-1987 for a street reconstruction project on Edinger <br />Euclid Street and Newhope Street. <br /> <br />fiscal year <br />Avenue between <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Com~fi~sion <br />allocate $10,400 for construction engineering and $148,200 for con- <br />struction for a total of $158,600 in OCUTT funds to the City. This <br />request is in conformance with the OCUTT allocation process and does <br />not exceed ninety (90) percent of the OCUTT allocation programmed for <br />the project. <br /> <br /> BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Aha agrees to fund <br />its share of the improvement costs in fiscal year 1987-1987 and any <br />additional costs over the programmed OCUTT amount of $214,000. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana has awarded the <br />contract for the project on Edinger Avenue for $329,340. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana has 1) designed <br />the project improvements in accordance with the City's design stan- <br />dards, 2) acquired right-of-way for the project in conformance with the <br />City's policies and procedures, and 3) completed and certified all <br />required environmental documentation for the project. <br /> <br /> <br />
