--153 <br />CDG:mb <br />10-23-86 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 87-30 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA DELEGATING TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />OF THE RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES AGENCY THE <br />AUTHORITY TO WAIVE FEES FOR THE USE OF PROPERTIES <br />UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE RECREATION AND COMMUNITY <br />SERVICES AGENCY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Santa Ana permits use of certain <br />properties under the control of the Recreation and Community <br />Services Agency for benefit of a limited number of persons when <br />the cost of such use is borne by that limited group who are <br />beneficiaries of such use; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has established by resolution the <br />fees for use of such properties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to waive fees, <br />or to decline requests for fee waivers, for the use of such <br />properties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, in the interest of a more rapid <br />response time to such requests, desires to delegate its <br />authority to waive fees, or to decline requests for fee waivers <br />for the use of certain properties under the control of the <br />Recreation and Community Services Agency to the Director of <br />said Agency within certain specific guidelines; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. Authority is hereby delegated to the Director of the <br />Recreation and Community Services Agency to waive fees or to <br />decline requests for fee waivers for the use of properties <br />under the control of the Recreation and Community Services <br />Agency. <br /> <br /> 2. The following criteria are to be used by the Director <br />in making his determination: <br /> <br /> (a) Priority shall be given to youth-serving <br />organizations. <br /> <br /> (b) The requesting organization shall be nonprofit <br />and community - service oriented. <br /> <br />(c) A minimum of fifty-one percent (51%) of the <br /> <br /> <br />
