COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />COMMITTEE FORMALIZATION PROCESS <br /> <br />Economic Development Manager Nunn presented an overview of the <br />committee and sub-committee structure, explaining that the Empowerment <br />Zone Governance Plan utilizes five committees and nine sub-committees <br />to provide avenues of participation for the various stakeholders within the <br />Zone community. She noted that the Chairs and co-chairs of the <br />Empowerment Zone Committees met in August, 2000 to discuss the role <br />committees and sub-committees should have in carrying out the Strategic <br />Plan. <br /> <br />HOUSING SUB-COMMITTEE REPORT <br /> <br />Empowerment Zone Manager Lahey distributed copies of the Affordable <br />Housing Feasibility Study for Santa Aha Federal Empowerment Zone to all <br />members and noted that the study was funded by the Board in FY 2000- <br />01 and developed in conjunction with Neighborhood Housing Services of <br />Orange County (NHSOC). <br /> <br />STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT <br /> <br />Economic Development Manager Nunn presented the monthly financial <br />report including a status of first year expenditures ( July 1999-June 2000) <br />and second year expenditures (July 2000-June 2001), and reported that <br />the year to date actual totals expended for administrative and Board <br />overhead were below the annual budget allocations partially because staff <br />was still administering first year contracts and also due to a change of <br />administration in the Federal government and the fact that the White <br />House Conference has not yet been held.
