RESOLUTION NO. 87- 45 <br /> <br /> 225 <br />REL:jd(32) <br />4/21/87 <br />(Rev. 6/15/87 mb) <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA ADDING THE AIRPORT ENVIRONS ELEMENT TO <br />THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Airport Land Use Commis- <br />sion has adopted an "Airport Environs Land Use Plan" pursuant <br />to Section 21675 of the Public Utilities code of the State of <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />desires to amend the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana to <br />promote consistency of the said General Plan with the Airport <br />Environs Land Use Plan of the Orange County Airport Land Use <br />Commission; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the General Plan of the City of Santa <br />Ana is hereby amended by adding an element, to be entitled the <br />"Airport Environs Element," which reads as follows: <br /> <br />AIRPORt ENVIRONS ELEMENT <br /> <br />A. Definitions <br /> <br /> As used herein the following terms shall have the following <br />meanings: <br /> <br /> (1) "OCALUC" means the Orange County Airport <br />Land Use Commission. <br /> <br /> (2) "AELUP" Means the Airport Environs Land Use <br />Plan of the OCALUC. <br /> <br /> (3) "CNEL" means the Community Noise Equivalent <br />Level, a noise measurement system commonly used for <br />planning and regulatory purposes. <br /> <br /> (4) "Director" shall mean the Executive Director <br />of the Planning and Building Safety Agency of the City <br />of Santa Aha and his or her designated representatives. <br /> <br /> (5) "Department" means the Planning Department of <br />the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />(6) "FAA" Means the Federal Aviation Administration. <br /> <br /> (7) "FAR Part 77" means Part 77 (entitled "Objects <br />Affecting Navigable Airspace") of the Federal Aviation <br />Regulations as the same now exists or as hereafter amended. <br /> <br /> <br />
