RESOLUTION NO. 87- 58 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION 86-59 TO DELETE, ADD AND CHANGE SEVERAL <br />CLASS TITLES CONTAINED IN THE BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION PLAN FOR UNREPRESENTED MANAGEMENT F~PLOYEES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 7, 1986, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 86-59, re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented <br />executive and middle-management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and <br />maintain a position classification aha pay plan subject to civil service <br />rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal <br />Year 1987-88, the City Council authorized certain organizational and <br />staffing changes which affect several class titles in the Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plan for unrepresented management classes <br />of employment contained in Resolution No. 86-59; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the changing needs and priorities of City <br />departments dictate certain changes in the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for unrepresented management classes of employment <br />contained in Resolution No. 86-59; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolution to <br />delete, add and change several class titles affected by said <br />organizational and staffing changes. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3A of Resolution No. 86-59 pertaining to Executive <br />Management classes of employment, is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />a. Deleting the following class titles: <br /> <br />Assistant to the City Manager (EM) <br />Deputy City Manager-Police Chief (EM) <br />Executive Director of Communications <br /> and Marketing (EM)(T) <br />Museum Director (EM) <br /> <br /> b. Designating as "Terminal" the following class titles by <br />adding the parenthetical identifier "(T)" following each class title so <br />that the class will be automatically deleted from the management pay plan <br />upon being vacated by its current incumbent: <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager-Development Services (EN)(T) <br />Executive Director of Utilities (EM)(T) <br /> <br /> <br />
