BOARD TASKFORCE REPORT <br /> <br />MARKETING TASK FORCE <br /> <br />Director Cibrian reported that a new flyer was introduced at the last <br />taskforce meeting, and that the flyer will be published in multiple <br />languages. He further noted that certificate awards have been designed. <br />He also mentioned that the taskforce was working on a contest to get <br />elementary students involved in developing ideas for an ideal community <br /> <br />OPERATING AGREEMENT TASK FORCE <br /> <br />Director Zaragoza reported that this taskforce has not met during this <br />period and a report would be presented at the next Empowerment Zone <br />Meeting <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />SAEC BOARD ATTENDANCE REPORT <br /> <br />Empowerment Zone Manager Bill Manis presented members with the <br />Board attendance covering the time period of September 2000 through <br />October 2001. Discussion ensued. Members recommended that the <br />Board Chair send a letter to all members who have three or more <br />unexcused absences <br /> <br />SAEC FINANCIAL STATEMENTS <br /> <br />Empowerment Zone Manager Bill Manis updated the Board on First, <br />Second, and Third year expenditures as of October 31, 2001 <br /> <br />FUNDED QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORT <br /> <br />Empowerment Zone Manager Bill Manis updated the Board relative to <br />program monitoring reports as of October 15, 2001. He noted that staff <br />has not received quarterly reports from three programs, and that, in <br />accordance with monitoring procedures, staff has notified program <br />contacts that reimbursement funds will be withheld until the monitoring <br />reports are submitted. <br /> <br />SAEC MINUTES 7 NOVEMBER 28, 2001 <br /> <br /> <br />
