RESOLUTION NO. 88-34 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY ODUB~IL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAbrfA ANA REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ALLOCATE ORANGE <br />COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUTT) <br />FUNDS FOR FAIRVIEW STREET RESURFACING BETWEEN <br />WARNER AVENUE AND SUNFLOWER AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statutes of 1985 allows the Orange County Trans- <br />portation Cc~m~ission to allocate funds frcm the rapid transit reserve to local <br />agencies for the improvement, construction, or repair of local streets and <br />roads; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation C~m,%ission approved a $12 mil- <br />lion OCLri~ Streets and Roads Program on April 14, 1986, covering fiscal years <br />1986-87 through 1988-89; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the three-year program includes $478,000 in fiscal year 1987-88 <br />for a street reconstruction project on Fairview Street between Warner Avenue <br />and Sunflower Avenue <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Cc~mission allocate <br />$25,150 for construction engineering and $359,200 for construction for a total <br />of $384,350 in OCU~T funds to the City. This request is in confomance with <br />the OCUIT allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the <br />OCLriT allocation programmed for the project. <br /> <br /> BE IT F~R RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana agrees to fund its <br />share of the improvement costs in fiscal year 1987-88 and any additional costs <br />over the progr~ed OCLrfT amount of $478,000. <br /> <br /> BE IT F~ RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana has awarded the con- <br />tract for the project on Fairview Street for $927,603. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana has 1) designed the <br />project improvements in accordance with the City's design standards; <br />2) acquired right-of-way for the project in conformance with the City's <br />policies and procedures; and 3) completed and certified all required environ- <br />mental doc~nentation for the project. <br /> <br /> <br />
