$47 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88 - 38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION 82-110 TO DELETE, ADD AND (/qANGE SEVSRAL <br />CLASS TITLES AND EFFECT OTHER CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC <br />CLASSIFICATION AND COMPEN3ATION PLAN FCR OFFIC~S AND <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic <br />Classification and Cc~pansation Plan for Officers and Employees of the <br />City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHerEAS, Section 1004 Article X of the City Charger of the City <br />of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a <br />position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and <br />regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> W~EAS, City Council has frcmu time to time amended said <br />Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WH~REA~, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal Year <br />1988-89, the City Council authorized certain organizational and staffing <br />changes which affect several class titles in the City's Basic <br />Classification and Ccmpensation Plan for classes of ~,~loyment contained <br />in Resolution No. 82-110; and <br /> <br /> ~%E~S, the changing needs and priorities of the City <br />departments dictate certain changes in the Basic Classification and <br />Ccmpensation Plan for classes of employment contained in Resolution No. <br />82-110, and <br /> <br /> WBERE~S, certain classification and compensation changes <br />contained in the Memorand~of Understanding between the City and the <br />Santa Ana City Employee's Association ratified by the City Council in <br />December 1987 have not yet been incorporated into the Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plan; <br /> <br /> ~{]~REA~, it is now desired to amend said Resolution to delete, <br />add and change several class titles and salary rate ranges affected by <br />said organizational and staffing changes. <br /> <br /> NOW, TH~.EFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY fDUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110 is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br />a. Deleting the following class titles: <br /> <br />~ency Secretary <br />Assistant Muset~Registrar <br />Assistant Transportation Planner <br />Associate Transportation Planner <br /> <br /> <br />
