REL:mb(23) <br />9/9/88 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />NO. 88-11 TO ALLOW A CHURCH AT 4405 WEST <br />EDINGER AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on Sep- <br />tember 6, 1988, on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 88-11, <br />to allow a church at 4405 West Edinger Avenue in the R-1 district, <br />on property designated in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incor- <br />porated herein, said application having been brought before this <br />Council by Appeal No. 88-3 following its approval by the Planning <br />Commission; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid <br />hearing, this Council finds and determines as follows: <br /> <br />(a) That the proposed use will provide a service or <br />facility which will contribute to the general well <br />being of the neighborhood or the community. The pro- <br />posed church will provide an attractive, functional <br />worship facility for members of the community. The <br />facility also includes a library and social hall to <br />further enhance the community services available at <br />the site. <br /> <br />(b) That the proposed use will not, under the cir- <br />cumstances of the particular case, be detrimental to <br />the health, safety, or general welfare of persons re- <br />siding or working in the vicinity. The church and <br />associated uses will provide a service to the com- <br />munity and should not be detrimental to the health, <br />safety or welfare of persons living or working in <br />the area. <br /> <br />(c) That the proposed use will not adversely affect <br />the present economic stability or future economic <br />development of property in the surrounding area. The <br />proposed church facility is an attractive use for <br />this area which includes a mixture of large single <br />family residential properties and ancillary commercial <br />uses. The proposed church should have no adverse <br />impact on the economic stability or future economic <br />development of the area. <br /> <br />(d) That the proposed use will comply with the regu- <br />lations and conditions specified in this chapter for <br />such use. The church operation will comply with all <br />the appropriate regulations of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code and in addition to the specific conditions of <br />this application. <br /> <br />4O5 <br /> <br /> <br />
