433 R~SOLUTION NO. 88-70 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMI~rl)ING RMSOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD AN EYd~MFr NE~ CLASS OF I~MPLOYMENT TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASS AND PAY PLAN AND TO DESIGNATE SAID CLASS AS L~NAFFILI~(I'~I~ CONFIDENTIAL P~FAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and I~RFAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; and ~MEREAS, on December 21, 1987, City Council amended said Resolution, as previously amended on numerous occasions, to specifically designate certain non-management classes listed among the classes of employment contained therein as being Unaffiliated Confidential (UC) in order to distinguish them from other non-management classes assigned to bargaining units represented by formally recognized employee asssociations; and ~tS, it is now desired to add a new civil service exempt class to said list of unaffiliated confidential classes for assignment to the Office of the City Manager. NOW, THI~I~OR~, BE IT RKSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by: a. Adding in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of SI~NIORMANAGt~I~rrASSISTANT at a Salary Rate No. 550, $3052 to $3710 per month. b. Designating said new class as being Unaffiliated Confidential by assigning the parenthetical identifier "{UC)" next to the class title to signify said designation.
