BUSINESS CALENDAR <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />APPOINT SANTA ANA EMPOWERMENT ZONE DIRECTOR <br /> <br />Change the Board seat from Santa Ana 2000 to Hispanic Chamber of <br />Commerce, and appoint Joel Ayala to the Santa Ana Empowerment <br />Board of Directors as the representative from the Hispanic Chamber <br />of Commerce. <br /> <br />MOTION: Dietz <br /> <br />SECOND: Davis <br /> <br />VOTE: AYES: <br /> <br />Bloom-Ramos; Burrier-Lund; Cibrian; Cong; <br />Davis; Dietz; Haro; Magdalena; Price; Ream; <br />Reyna; Zaragoza (12) <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Bracho; <br />Hernandez; <br />Mijares (9) <br /> <br />Brewster; EIbaum; Haynes; <br /> Leaman; Martinez; Metzler; <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />CREATE A SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE <br /> <br />Bill Manis, Empowerment Zone Manager briefed the Board relative to this <br />item and noted that the staff report should be corrected to reflect that the <br />sub-committees of Child Care, Safety and Transportation, and Health and <br />Housing would be made full committees and not eliminated as stated in <br />the report. <br /> <br />Board discussion ensued. Board member Larry Haynes volunteered to <br />chair the new Sustainability Committee and Board member Mary Bloom- <br />Ramos volunteered to co-chair this Committee.
