ABSENT: Bracho, Burrier-Lund, Cibrian, Elbaum, <br /> Haynes, Leaman, Martinez, Metzler (8) <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE AT MEETINGS, Mary Bloom-Ramos <br /> <br />Director Bloom-Ramos expressed concern that task force members who <br />show up for meetings are often told at that time that there will not be a <br />quorum, and that the meeting will be cancelled. She noted that staff <br />currently makes phone calls to the members three days in advance, sends <br />at least two notices via FAX, and makes phone calls the day before the <br />meeting. She suggested that task force meetings be cancelled three <br />days prior to the meeting if staff can not confirm that a quorum will attend. <br /> <br />Board member discussion ensued, and Empowerment Zone Manager Bill <br />Manis noted that, for future task force meetings, staff will inform all <br />members three days in advance of the meeting whether there will be <br />sufficient attendance for a quorum. <br /> <br />BOARD TASK FORCE REPORT <br /> <br />SUSTAINABILITY TASK FORCE, presented by Kim Pfeiffer <br /> <br />The first official meeting of this newly created task fome with be on <br />September 18, 2002.
