1-95 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-035 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA SUPPORTING A CONTINUED <br /> PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE <br /> <br />AND THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FOR PARTICIPATION <br />IN THE COORDINATED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Orange and cities in that County <br />have previously entered into an Agreement for the maintenance <br />and use of the Orange County Coordinated Ultra High Frequency <br />(UHF) 460 MHz Law Enforcement Communications System; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, that Communications System is outdated and can <br />no longer adequately support the critical requirements of the <br />law enforcement agencies of the County of Orange and cities <br />in the County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Communications System is rapidly approaching <br />the point where the safety of law enforcement personnel, as <br />well as the safety of the citizens, will be jeopardized if <br />corrective action is not taken soon; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Orange will be the lead governmental <br />agency in the implementation of that Communications System; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, supports the Orange County Coordinated 800 MHz UHF <br /> <br />Law Enforcement Radio Communications System; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana, <br />California supports a mutually acceptable contractual agreement, <br />with the County of Orange, for the financing, acquisition, <br />maintenance and use of the Orange County Coordinated 800 MHz <br /> <br /> <br />
