A RESOLUTION OF ~HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR <br />A Vf]rk/{ APPROVED S~T.w.q TAX INCREASE FOR <br />TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS AND <br />AN APPROPRIATE EXPENDITURE PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cities of Orange County <br />visionary and courageous, collective leadership <br />transportation crisis by forming the <br />early 1987; and, <br /> <br /> the need for <br /> Orange County' s <br />Super Cc~ittee in <br /> <br />over several months to craft a <br />for improving the county's <br />ing existing roadway capacity, <br />link transportation and land use <br />revenue source for needed <br /> <br /> ~rked exhaustively <br /> and to develop a strategy <br /> by expanding and maintain- <br /> methods by which to <br /> better, and developing a new <br />; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the <br />report of the Transportation <br />Transportation: Meeting <br />thereby, expressing <br />tatic~ solutions in <br /> <br /> County unanimously adopted the <br /> entitled, "Orange County <br />Head On," o~ Dec~mber 3, 1987, <br />for the further development of transpor- <br /> and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />nsted as the <br />the approval of <br />population and <br />for <br /> <br /> County Transportation C~.~ssion was desig- <br /> Authority in Orange County which, with <br /> of cities with a majority of the incorporated <br /> of Supervisors, could place a sales tax measure <br />m~prove~ents on the ballot for voter approval; and, <br /> <br />Fund <br /> <br /> the Transportation Super Co~ittee worked even more <br />the Orange County Local Transportation Authority in craft- <br /> plan for a sales tax measure and produced a set of spe- <br /> findings for such plan which included recc~nendations c~ <br /> Transit, and Growth Management; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such specific, preliminary findings were outlined to the <br /> County Division, League of California Cities' membership on March 9, <br /> and forwarded to the Orange County Transportation C~L,L'~ ssion acting <br />the Local Transportation Authority. <br /> <br /> <br />
