RESOIL~ION NO. 89-055 <br /> <br />A RESOLI~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE ORANGE <br />TRANSPORTATION CO~%~ISSION TO ALLOCATE ORANGE <br />COUNTY LI~IFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUT~) <br />b//NDS FOR FLOWER STR~sI' RESURFACING <br />FIRST STOl' ~ SANTA ANA BOULEVARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statutes of 1985 allows the Orange County Transporta- <br />tion Co~mission to allocate funds frc~ the rapid transit reserve to local <br />agencies for the improv~nent, construction, or repair of local streets and <br />roads; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Czmm~ssion approved a $12 million <br />OCUTT Streets and Roads Program on April 14, 1986, covering Fiscal Years <br />1986-87 through 1988-89; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the three-year program includes $224,000 in Fiscal Year 1988-89 for a <br />street reconstruction project on Flower Street between First Street and Santa <br />Ana Boulevard; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby requests the Orange County Transportation C~,aL.:ssion allocate $14,110 <br />for construction engineering and $187,490 for construction for a total of <br />$201,600 in OCUIT funds to the City. This request is in confoL~L~nce with the <br />OC0'rr allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the OCLFUP <br />allocation prograrmned for the project. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana agrees to fund its share of <br />the inprovement costs in Fiscal year 1988-89 and any additional costs over the <br />progr~ OCUTT amount of $224,000. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana has awarded the contract <br />for the project on Flower Street for $725,155. <br /> <br />BE IT FUKTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana has 1) designed the project <br />improvements in accordance with the City's design standards; 2) acquired <br />right-of-way for the project in conformance with the City's policies and <br />procedures; and 3) completed and certified all required environmental documen- <br />tation for the project. <br /> <br /> <br />
