RESOLUTION NO. 89-070 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING VARIOUS RESOLUTIONS ~HICH FIX AND F~STABLISH <br />BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS FOR SE%rf~AL CATEGORIES <br />OF ~PLOYMMNT WITH THE CITY <br /> <br /> ~_AS, Section 1004 of Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the CityManager to prepare, install and maintain a <br />position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and <br />regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> I~AS, the City Council has passed and adopted several resolutions <br />fixing and establishing basic classification and compensation plans for <br />several separate categories of employment for officers and employees of the <br />City; and <br /> <br /> I~fl~_AS, the City Council has from time to time amended these <br />resolutions to add, delete, and change position classification titles and to <br />adjust salaries and other elements of employee compensation; and <br /> <br /> ~IEREAS, changing needs and priorities in certain City deparmental <br />operations impact certain organizational and staffing changes which, in turn, <br />dictate changes in the several classification and pay plans; and <br /> <br /> I~q]~AS, it is no~ desired to anend provisions of Resolution Nos. <br />8S-27 (Management Intern-Exempt class) and 82-110 (Represented, Non-Management <br />classes) in order to add, delete, and change several class titles and salary <br />rate ranges affected by said organizational and staffing changes. <br /> <br /> NO~, TH~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution 82-110 is hereby further amended by <br />designating as '~erminal" the following class titles by adding the <br />parenthetical identifier "(T)" following each title so that the class so <br />designated ~ill be autematically deleted from the basic classification and <br />compensation plan upon being vacated by its last remaining current incumbent: <br /> <br />Assistant Grants Coordinator <br />Blacksmith-~elder <br />Budget Analyst I <br />Criminalistics Lab Aide <br />Equipment Operator - Street <br />Equipment Operator - Water <br /> Maintenance <br /> <br />Equipment Repair Leader <br />Bquipment Service Attendant I <br />Equipment Service Attendant II <br />Management Analyst I <br />Tree Trim.er Helper <br />Water Plant Operator <br /> <br />2. That Section 3 of Resolution 82-110 is hereby further emended by: <br /> <br />A. Deleting the following class titles: <br /> <br />Crime Laboratory Supervisor <br />Criminalist I <br />Criminalist II <br />Criminalist III <br /> <br /> <br />
