- - 397 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-075 <br /> <br />RES:mb(18) <br />7/18/89 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE <br />ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMIS- <br />SION TO ALLOCATE ORANGE COUNTY UNI- <br />FIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUTT) <br />FUNDS FOR FAIRVIEW STREET RESURFACING <br />BETWEEN SEVENTEENTH STREET AND TRASK <br />AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statutes of 1985 allows the <br />Orange County Transportation Commission to allocate funds from <br />the rapid transit reserve to local agencies for the improve- <br />ment, construction, or repair of local streets and roads; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission <br />approved a $12 million OCUTT Streets and roads Program on <br />April 14, 1986, covering Fiscal Years 1986-87 through 1988-89; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the three-year program includes $229,939 <br />Fiscal Year 1988-89 for a street reconstruction project on <br />Fairview Street between Seventeenth Street and Trask Avenue; <br /> <br />in <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana hereby requests the Orange County Trans- <br />portation Commission allocate $9,828 for construction engineering <br />and $148,199 for construction for a total of $158,027 in OCUTT <br />funds to the City. This request is in conformance with the OCUTT <br />allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the <br />OCUTT allocation programmed for the project. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana <br />agrees to fund its share of the improvement costs in Fiscal year <br />1988-89 and any additional costs over the programmed OCUTT amount <br />of $229,939. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana <br />awarded the contract for the project on Fairview Street for <br />$392,172 to Silvia Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />has <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana has <br />1) designed the project improvements in accordance with the City's <br />design standards; 2) acquired right-of-way for the project in <br />conformance with the City's policies and procedures; and 3) com- <br />pleted and certified all required environmental documentation for <br />the project. <br /> <br /> <br />
