RESOLUTION NO. 89- 116 <br /> <br />A RESOI33TION OF ~HE CITY COL~CIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING THE <br />HIGHLAND PARK PERMIT PARKING DISTRICT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XI (c~t,L~ncing with Section 36-480) of <br />Chapter 36 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code, the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana is authorized to adopt a resolution establishing Permit Parking <br />Districts wherein parking restrictions apply to all vehicles except vehicles <br />which have been issued parking permits pursuant to said Article; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that the Highland Park <br />residential neighborhood is in need of a Permit Parking District in order to <br />protect its integrity against the intrusion of vehicula~ parking from nearby <br />apartment c~Lplexes; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Highland Park Permit Parking District is hereby established, to <br />consist of that area of the City of Santa An~ bounded on the north by Camile <br />Street, on the east by Fairview Street, on the south by McFadde~ Avenue, and <br />on the west by the Santa Ana River. Said district extends to and includes <br />Camile Street. Said district does not extend to or include Fairvi~ Street or <br />McFadden Avenue. <br /> <br /> 2. The parking restrictions imposed pursuant to said Article XI and <br />this ~solution shall apply to any block within the Highland Park Permit Park- <br />ing District only after a petition signed by the owners of seventy-five per- <br />cent (75%) or r~re of the residential lots abutting such block have filed a <br />petition with the Executive Director of Public Works expressing their desire <br />for such parking restrictions, and after si~s indicating the parking restric- <br />tions on such block have been erected in accordance with said Article XI. <br /> <br /> 3. No person shall park any vehicle any time on any portion of any <br />street within the Highland Park Permit Parking District as to which signs have <br />been erected indicating the applications of permit parking restrictions, <br />except persons and vehicles excepted frcm such parking restrictions pursuant <br />to said Article XI. <br /> <br /> 4. Permit parking restrictions in the Highland Park Permit Parking Dis- <br />trict shall not apply to the side of any street adjacent to any non- <br />residential use. <br /> <br /> <br />
