Summerfor8 <br />to abolish permis- <br />sive code <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />The council having un~uimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of i! <br /> <br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution enti- <br /> <br />tied: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-119 of the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana, California, opposing Assembly Bill 1593 and <br />requesting the continuance of the Colorado River Board <br />of California" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />James R. Summerford, 12581 Foothill Boulevard, requested that a Board be set up <br /> <br />for the purpose of examining electricians, and stated there is a permissive code <br /> <br />which states what can be done regardless of performance. Mr. Summerford suggested <br /> <br />that, if possible, the permissive code be abolished not to the letter of the law, <br /> <br />but the spirit of the law. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the City Council <br /> <br />adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
