REL: mb ( 1 ) <br />3/5/90 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-~1 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SANTA ANA'S <br />PARTICIPATION IN COOPERATIVE PROJECTS WITH THE <br />CITY OF TUSTIN AND THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR WHICH <br />FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANS- <br />PORTATION TRUST PROGRAM GRANT APPLICATIONS HAVE <br />BEEN SUBMITTED AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE <br />DIRECTOR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY TO EXECUTE <br />THE GRANT AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Tustin proposes to undertake <br />the rehabilitation of Red Hill Avenue between Baranca Road and <br />Valencia Avenue and the County of Orange proposes to resurface <br />Seventeenth Street between Tustin Avenue and the Newport/Costa <br />Mesa Freeway; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, both of the above street improvement projects <br />include areas within the City of Santa Ana and it is anticipated <br />that the City of Santa Ana will enter into agreements with the <br />City of Tustin and the County of Orange to pay the City of <br />Santa Ana's proportionate share of the cost of the two projects; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Tustin and the County of Orange <br />have submitted applications for partial funding of the abovesaid <br />projects by the Orange County Unified Transportation Trust; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to obtain such funding, it is <br />necessary for the City of Santa Ana to participate in the grant <br />application process; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the City of Santa Ana is authorized <br />to participate in the abovesaid cooperative projects with the <br />City of Tustin and the County of Orange and the Executive <br />Director of the Public Works Agency is authorized to execute <br /> <br /> <br />
