· 049 RESOLUTION NO. 90-043 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA (GPA 90-1) REL:mb(24a 1/03/90 Rev.4/3/90,4/16/90 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, after duly noticed public hearing, approved an amendment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed and considered the initial environmental study and negative declaration prepared for such proposed General Plan amendment; and WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hear- ing, concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The adoption of the not have a significant effect declaration prepared for said said General Plan amendment will on the environment, and the negative amendment is hereby approved. 2. Exhibits 1 through 29, attached hereto, are hereby incorporated herein by reference, and referred to collectively hereinafter as "the Exhibits." 3. The Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended in the following particulars: a. The following is added to the description of the "Open Space/Parks and Recreation" use: "The Open Space/Parks and Recreation land use General Plan designation allocates areas used for recreational activities and passive open space land uses. The Open Space/Recreational use designation allows the following uses: Parks and other outdoor open-air recreational uses, zoos, golf courses and buildings that are accessory to or facilitate these uses. 2e Passive open space uses such as river and creek beds, lakes, reservoirs, cemeteries and greenbelts."
