101 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90- 59 <br /> <br />REL:mb(16) <br />4/23/90 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING A <br />NEW SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR INITIAL <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW AND REVIEW AND <br />PREPARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to process development projects and <br />other activities which may have a significant effect on the <br />environment, the City of Santa Ana must comply with the require- <br />ments of the California Environmental Quality Act "CEQA") <br />and the State CEQA Guidelines; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such compliance requires extensive work <br />time of qualified City personnel; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, current fees for environmental review and <br />preparation of environmental documents are inadequate to pay <br />the cost of the required services by City personnel; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The following schedule of fees is hereby adopted <br />for initial environmental review and for the review and <br />preparation of environmental documents for any project pursuant <br />to CEQA: <br /> <br />Document Fee <br /> <br />Environmental Impact Report <br /> <br />$7,500 or 10% of Consultant <br />fee, whichever is greater. <br /> <br />Negative Declaration <br /> <br />If Consultant report <br />required. <br /> <br />$5,000 or 10% of Consultant <br />fee, whichever is greater. <br /> <br />If Consultant report not <br />required, but mitigation <br />measures are required. <br /> <br />$1,000 <br /> <br />If neither Consultant <br />report nor mitigation <br />measures are required. <br /> <br />$50O <br /> <br />Notice of Exemption $150 <br /> <br />(As used herein "Consultant" means a private person <br />or firm providing professional environmental analysis <br />services, retained for the project by the project <br />applicant) <br /> <br /> <br />
