ilRequeot <br />i:0range County <br />!Fair (1961) <br /> (to hang overhead <br /> flag lines) <br /> <br />Request <br />W.Stanley Musfelt, M.D. <br />(Crosswalk across <br /> Broadway at 10th St. ) <br /> <br />Request <br />Tustin Union High School <br />(Crosswalk across 17th <br /> St. at Mabury St.) <br /> <br />The Manager orally submitted his recommendation as to the City's policy in regard <br />to hanging overhead street banners, reference the request of the Secretary-Manager, <br />Orange County Fair, to hang seventeen overhead flag lines at various locations within <br />the City, to publicize the 1961 Orange County Fair, to be held July ll through 16, <br />said lines to be installed between June 28 and July l, and removed not later than <br /> <br />July 19, with one locatic~ on Main Street which will require a major street encroach- <br /> State <br />ment permit from the/Division of Highways. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br /> <br />by Brewer and carried, the recommendation of the Manager was approved, and the re- <br /> <br /> also <br />quest of the Orange County Fair granted, to hang the overhead flag lines, to/include <br /> <br />the Christmas decorations. L. Gene Proffitt, 519 W. Fourth Street, representing <br />the Junior Chamber of Conmmerce, favored the flag displays. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of <br /> <br />W. Stanley Musfelt~ M.D., 1007 North Broadway, was denied, for a crosswalk across <br />Broadway at the north side of loth Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of the <br />Tustin Union High School was denied, for a pedestrian crosswalk across Seventeenth <br />Street at Mabury Street. <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the City Council <br /> <br />adjourned. <br /> <br />Marion Suttner <br />Clerk of the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
