No. 61-141 <br />~Adopt Budget <br />,For expenditure of <br />mG~S T~ Funds from <br />l!State Highway <br />i(fiscal year <br /> 1961-62) <br /> <br />Reso.No. 61-142 <br />Declaring additions to <br />Major City Streets <br />System (gas tax) <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution en- <br /> <br />titled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-139 of the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana, allocating the sum of $10,000.00 for the <br />purpose expressed in Article II of the Master Agreement <br />with the State of California Division of Highways" <br /> <br />for the fiscal year 1961-62, said sum to be budgeted for work to be done by the <br /> <br />City engineering staff in the Department of Public Works, was considered and passed <br /> <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, <br /> Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the readiug of the Resolution, on moti~ of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution en- <br /> <br />titled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-140 authorizing petition to the Board of <br />Supervisors of Orange County requesting that property within <br />the City of Santa Ana, California, be excepted from the levy <br />of any Orange County tax to provide structural fire protection <br />and making findings of fact" <br /> <br />for the fiscal year of 1961-62, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, <br /> Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution en- <br /> <br />t it led: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-141 of the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana adopting and submitting a budget for expenditure <br />of funds allocated frc~ the State Highway fund to Cities" <br /> <br />being the gas tax allocation for the fiscal year 1961-62, was considered and passedI <br /> <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Heinly <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Cotmcilman Hubbard, <br />titled: <br /> <br />seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution en- <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-142 selecting and declaring certain proposed <br />thoroughfares to be additions to the major City street system <br />of Santa Ana, California, and requesting the State of California, <br />Department of Public Works, to approve said selection and <br />declaration" <br /> <br />said portions of thoroughfares being (1) Fairview Street - Fifth Street to North <br /> <br />City Limits at Trask Avenue; (2) Fairview Street - Segerstrom Avenue to South City <br /> <br />Limits (700'~ South of Segerstrom Avenue); (3) Fairview Street - South City Limits <br />at Pacific Electric Railroad right-of-way to Talbert Avenue (new alignment); (4) <br />Talbert Avenue - (New alignment) Harbor Boulevard to Greenville Street; (5) Verano <br /> <br />Street - South City Limits (210' north of Edinger) to North City Limits at West- <br /> <br />minster Boulevard; and (6) Eighth Street - Fairview Avenue (King Street) to Broad- <br /> <br />way, and said streets subject to expenditure of gas tax funds, was considered and <br /> <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noe s, Conncilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
