Council Chamber <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br />June 19, 1961 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met iu regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmen <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H.Schlueter, <br />Dale H. Heinly, A. A. Hall <br />Bob Brewer <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Reverend James Turner, Camile Christian Church. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />June 5, 1961~ reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on <br />motion of Counci]m-n Heinly~ seconded by Hubbard and carried. <br /> <br />Bid acceptance On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the Clerk was <br />Legal advertising <br />~#~? authorized to open the one bid for the publication of legal notices and other mat- <br /> <br />ters required by law to be published for the fiscal year, beginning July l, 1961, <br />and ending June 30, 1962, as follows: <br /> <br />The Register <br /> First insertion, Saturday only, $1.50 per inch. AP,l/' other day $1.85 <br /> per inch. Each subsequent insertion, Saturday only, $1.35 per inch. <br /> Any other day $1.35 per inch. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman H~inly, seconded by Schlueterandcarried, that the bid of <br /> <br />The Register be accepted for legal advertising. <br /> <br />Bid acceptance A tabulation of bids was presented for the erection of Fire Station No. 3, located <br />Fire Station No. 3 <br />at Myrtle ond at Franklin and Myrtle Streets, as follows: <br />Franklin Streets Total Bid Bond <br /> d#Y~ W.J. Burke Construction Co. $51~790.00 5-~ <br /> R. L. Steinmetz 54,935.00 <br /> Leonard V. Bovas 55,888.00 <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the lowest and best <br /> <br />bid of W. J. Burke Construction Company was accepted, in the total amount of <br /> <br /> <br />
