303 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-081 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION CC~MISSION TO <br />ALLOCATE ORANGE COUM~Y UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUTT) <br />FUNDS FOR A SEVEN IN'±'~xSECTION SIGNAL COORDINATION PROJECT <br />AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF GRAND AVENUE AT HOTEL T~tRACE DRIVE <br />AND SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 55 OFF-R~MP; AND THE INTERSECTIONS OF <br />DYER ROAD AT TECHNICAL C~ DRIVE, SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 55 <br />ON-RAMP/HOTEL TERRACE DRIVE, GRAND AVENUE, NORTHBOUND <br />ROUTE 55 OFF-RAMP, AND PULLMAN AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statues of 1985 allows the Orange County Trans- <br />portation Commission to allocate funds from the rapid transit reserve to local <br />agencies for the improvement, construction, or repair of local streets and <br />roads; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission approved a $4.5 <br />million OCUTT Streets and Roads Program for Fiscal Year 1989-1990; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the program includes $25,000 in Fiscal Year 1989-1990 for a <br />seven-signal interconnect and coordination project at the intersections of <br />Grand Avenue at Hotel Terrace Drive and Southbound Route 55 Off-rsmp; and the <br />intersections of Dyer Road at Technical Center Drive, Southbound Route 55 On- <br />ramp/Hotel Terrace Drive, Grand Avenue, Northbound Route 55 Off-ramp, and <br />Pullman Avenue. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Commission allocate <br />$0.00 for construction engineering and $13,155.75 for construction for a total <br />of $13,155.75 in OCU~i~ funds to the City. This request is in conformance with <br />the OCUTT allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the <br />progra~ned amount for construction engineering or ninety (90) percent of the <br />OCUTT share of the construction contract. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana has agreed to fund <br />its share of the improvement costs in Fiscal Year 1989-1990 and any additional <br />costs over the programmed OCUTT amount of $25,000. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Aha has awarded the con- <br />tract for the project on June 18, 1990, for $29,235.00. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Santa Ana has (1) designed the <br />project improvements in accordance with the City's design standards, (2) <br />acquired right-of-way for the project in conformance with the City's policies <br />and procedures, and (3) completed and certified all required environmental <br />documentation for the project. <br /> <br /> <br />
